JOHN 8:34. "SIN" - "YAHUSHA ANSWERED THEM, "TRULY, TRULY, I SAY TO YOU, EVERYONE DOING SIN IS A SERVANT OF SIN".
This means, if you sin you are trapped by sin and it locks you up inside yourself. Deliverance from sin sets us free from our jail of bondage. Of course this can only be given by Yahusha, THROUGH OUR REPENTANCE.
There are many people today trapped in sin, who don't think they are. Understanding exactly what sin is, is a major help. SIN IS BASICALLY LAID OUT FOR US IN THE TEN COMMANDMENTS and any person who breaks one of these Commands instantly becomes a sinner and is separated from Yahuah and trapped in Satan's mindset. Do you do Shabath ?
How many people do you know that couldn't care less what the Commandments say? This will give you a good grip on the prophecies of these last days. Yahusha judges everything by our behaviour towards His Words, the Turah.
JOHN 8:31-32: "SO YAHUSHA SAID TO THOSE YAHUDIM WHO BELIEVED HIM,
'IF YOU STAY IN MY WORD, YOU ARE TRULY MY PUPILS, AND YOU SHALL KNOW THE TRUTH, AND THE TRUTH SHALL MAKE YOU FREE".
If people do not know the Word and how to live in it, they will never know Eternal Life, because of their sin. But they all think they are going to heaven (Pagan heaven that is, which does not exist). The 3 Rules is a great vehicle to keep you on the road of righteousness. Below is a list of some of the explanations of sin from the Hebrew language:
6495 pqach-qowach pek-akh-ko'-akh from 6491 redoubled; opening (of a dungeon), i.e. jail-delivery (figuratively, salvation for sin):--opening of the prison. 6588 pesha` peh'-shah from 6586; a revolt (national, moral or religious):--rebellion, sin, transgression, trespass. 7683 shagag shaw-gag' a primitive root; to stray, i.e. (figuratively) sin (with more or less apology):--X also for that, deceived, err, go astray, sin ignorantly. 7686 shagah shaw-gaw' a primitive root; to stray (causatively, mislead), usually (figuratively) to mistake, especially (morally) to transgress; by extension (through the idea of intoxication) to reel, (figuratively) be enraptured:--(cause to) go astray, deceive, err, be ravished, sin through ignorance, (let, make to) wander. 7846 set sayte or cet {sayt}; from 7750; a departure from right, i.e. sin:--revolter, that turn aside. 8135 sin'ah sin-aw' from 8130; hate:--+ exceedingly, hate(-ful, - red).
